The National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery

With a longstanding partnership with the National Portrait Gallery, I have had the privilege of producing compelling documentary films, social media content and educational materials. Collaborating with leading artists such as David Hockney, Paul McCartney and Cindy Sherman has enabled me to create engaging and informative content that resonates with diverse audiences.

David Hockney

A captivating promotional trailer for artist David Hockney, drawing inspiration from his compelling audio interview. This project was a blend of artistry and innovation, featuring hand-painted backgrounds that framed his visionary work. This trailer was designed to amplify excitement and anticipation for his portraiture exhibition, David Hockney - Drawings from Life.

Paul McCartney

Celebrating Paul McCartney’s collection of photographs, we used excerpts from an interview with McCartney to give insight into the era they were captured. We gave this trailer a punchy analogue feel with clicks and flashes.

HOLD STILL

Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020

I had the pleasure of working on this this poetic introduction to the exhibition Hold Still featuring HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and poet Lemn Sissay. We tell a story that captures the spirit of people during the pandemic using many of the photographs selected for the exhibition.

Yevonde

Bringing to life the pioneering print work of Yevonde, I edited this beautiful, informative documentary colour carbon printing process that was displayed in-gallery and a colourful impactful trailer to promote the exhibition, Yevonde - Life in Colour.

Women’s History Month

To celebrate Women’s History Month, I collaborated with the gallery to make 3 short films that featured inspiring women: writer and design critic Alice Rawsthorn; producer, writer and director Tobi Kyeremateng and comedian Rosie Jones.
